The Contest

Each month we name an item and challenge folks to find a creative way to reuse it.  Take the challenge and ask yourself, "What could I do with that?"  The idea is to take something and give it a completely new purpose.  We are looking for innovation, function, form and craftsmanship.  We will make judgements based on those criteria.  You may even surprise yourself with how clever you can be!  The individual who submits the new and improved function that T-La-Re declares best will receive a $25 store gift certificate and a T-La-Re

2. Re-fresh /v/: to make something worn and dusty beautiful again

3. Re-purpose/v/: to find a new use, a second life, for otherwise discarded items

Submission Guide

The Radical Reuse item will be announced during the first week of the month on the web site and in the e-newsletter.  For example, if the item is a cigar box and you already have an old cigar box, get to work transforming.  Remember, we are looking for a new purpose, so you must decide on something other than holding cigars.  If you do not have access to an old cigar box, swing by the store and we will be happy to give you one.  Bring your transformed item into the store by the last Saturday of the month. At that time, you will be asked to fill out a simple submission form containing your contact information.  Winners will be notified as soon as possible.  The deadline to return your new and improved item is the last Saturday of each month.
